Nicole Scherzinger has been confirmed as the fourth X Factor judge.
She may not have been good enough for X Factor USA, having been let go after the first series, but Simon Cowell has deemed Scherzinger of a high enough calibre to judge the good folk of Great Britain.
It's thought that the former Pussycat Doll has negotiated herself a £750,000 contract to become a full-time judge on the reality show.
Speaking about her new role, she said: 'I’m so excited to join the UK X Factor family. It's where I got my start, so it feels great to come full circle.
'I can’t wait to see what talent the UK has to offer and to help inspire and bring out the best in these artists.'
And Peter Fincham, Director of Television, ITV, added: 'Nicole will bring her wealth of experience, both as a solo artist, and as a member of a group, to this year's judging panel.
'We're delighted that she'll be joining us for the forthcoming series.'
Nicole will begin her full-time judging role when the auditions hit Newcastle on Monday.
While the decision has been made, guest judges for the auditions so far have been Spice Girls, Geri Halliwell and Mel B, music newcomer Rita Ora, singer Anastacia and X Factor winner Leona Lewis.
