Prince William talks Queen Elizabeth and Royal Wedding in new interview

By Lisa Potter - Friday 25 May 2012

Prince William says he thinks Queen Elizabeth has done a spiffing job as his grandmother.

The young royal admits that he has always had respect for the Queen because she juggles her role as grandmother with her royal duties so well.

In an interview on 'The Jubilee Queen With Katie Couric', which airs in America on May 29, William said: 'I always remember having a healthy respect for my grandmother. There's such scrutiny on the job that I think you have to be very, very careful how you carve your path. But she's done it brilliantly.'

The 29-year-old also revealed that he and brother Harry, 27, have been 'cheeky' grandchildren, adding: 'I still think she's just my grandmother, really. I'm probably a bit of a cheeky grandson, my brother as well.'

In the programme William also talks about his wedding to Kate Middleton, saying: 'It was one of those days where you feel very elated. Also completely terrified, I have to be honest. The prospect of two billion people watching was quite daunting.'
