David Beckham and his underwear (yes, you may take a moment to stop and think about his tighty whities) have found themselves subject to ridicule from President Barack Obama.
The footballer joined his LA Galaxy teammates at a special ceremony at the White House to celebrate them winning the Major League Soccer Cup - America's version of the Premiership.
During his congratulatory speech, the President first mocked Beckham's age, calling him, at 37-years-old, a 'young up-and-comer,' which caused raucous laughter from his fellow footballer mates.

Obama then added: 'I have to say I gave David Beckham a hard time, and told him half the team could be his kids. We're getting old, David.'
Obama also joked that Beckham was 'a rare man who can be that tough on the field and also have his own line of underwear.'
