FIRST LOOK: Rihanna's tribal Where Have You Been video

By Fiona Raisbeck - Wednesday 2 May 2012

She’s channelled a plethora of varied guises in her past videos, and now Rihanna has gone all tribal princess on us for the promo for her new single, Where Have You Been.

The clip for the Calvin Harris produced track begins with the pop superstar emerging from a misty swamp all Apocalypse Now-style wearing a teeny-tiny metallic halter-neck top and lace-up leather trousers.

The video then moves onto a dance sequence with Rihanna dressed like a desert tribesman in slouchy harem trousers, a zebra print swimsuit worn as a top and a long headscarve surrounded by a bevy of topless male dancers.

Elsewhere in the clip, which was styled by Purple Magazine’s Fashion Editor Mel Ottenberg, the star goes all sexy in a seductive section of the video wearing a sheer bejewelled bodysuuit from Emilio Pucci’s spring/summer 2012 collection, which she teams simply with stacks of chunky bangles, ankle bracelets and giant hoop earrings, before performing some moves reminiscent of the six-armed Indian goddess Kali in a trippy mystical finale wearing a slinky shell pink dress and gold glitter make-up before heading back to the swamp.

We L-O-V-E Rihanna's latest video with its foot stomping choreography and fun styling. But what do you think? Watch the full video for Where Have You Been below and tell us in the comments box
