They've remained decidedly tight-lipped on the reasons behind their split, leaving us wondering if we'd ever discover why Russell Brand and Katy Perry parted ways. But it seems we could soon be set to find out…

According to reports, the Teenage Dreams singer has been offered a an eye-watering £2 million to pen a tell-all book about her marriage, and divorce, from the Brit comedian.

It's thought Katy's been inundated with offers from publishers, leading one to offer the whopping £2 million sum to seal the deal.

And although reps for the star are yet to comment, it seems the singer may have had a book in mind all along.

'When everything was going well, Katy couldn't stop talking about him,' one insider told the Sun of the singer's former-hubby.

'Since the split neither of them have said anything – keeping the price of a deal high.'

Sneaky.

Meanwhile, Katy's dad Keith Hudson, seemingly oblivious to his daughter's potential book deal, has revealed the family are still in contact with Russell Brand, and that there are 'no hard feelings' towards the star.

'There are no hard feelings towards Russell – I just received a text from him the other day in fact,' Hudson reportedly told Us Magazine.

'He is a wonderful and smart guy.'

Alluding to the reason behind the split, Hudson explained Katy was so busy with her ongoing world tour, she didn't have much time to see her hubby.

'Her career got really busy and she did not get to see that much of Russell – it was just one of those things,' he said

'Katy is doing well just now.'

We're pleased to hear it…
