According to reports, the Harry Potter star and face of Lancome is in the final stages of negotiations about playing the lead role in the period film adaptation.

The movie is being directed by Guillermo del Toro and he is said to have declared Watson 'perfect' for the part of Belle.
No details about which actor would play the role of the Beast have been announced yet.
Beauty And The Beast is scheduled to be released in 2014.
