Kylie Minogue calls in police over Twitter stalker threats

Kylie Minogue has contacted police after a 'deluded weirdo' used Twitter to issue threats against her.

The 43-year-old singer wrote on the networking site: 'I love 1,033,861 of you LOVERS, but 1 is not a lover, just a deluded weirdo making threat #andthatdoesnotmakeyouspecial SO.. police alerted.' (sic)

Minogue, who has successfully battled breast cancer, was immediately inundated with messages of support from her many fans.

'1,033,861 are now looking for the 1 deluded weirdo. We got your back. Stay sparkly,' wrote one.

The musician is currently celebrating her 25th year in the music industry.
