Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis on the verge of split

Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are said to be 'living separate lives,' according to numerous reports.

The couple, who have been together for an amazing (by Hollywood's standards) 14 years are apparently on the verge of splitting.

Johnny and Vanessa spend most of their time in the French village of Plan de la Tour near St Tropez, but more recently have moved to Los Angeles, where rumours suggest they've been living in separate houses.

There have been months of speculation that the gorgeous couple, who are parents to Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9, are set for a split but they seem to be gathering speed.

Depp, 48, attended last weekend's Golden Globes on his own and he hasn't been seen with Vanessa on his arm for over a year now.

At the start of the year, a source told Radar Online: 'Johnny has started reaching out to lawyers, probably to quietly discuss how to get out of the relationship.

'They're not married but they've been together for years and have kids together so it isn't as easy as just breaking up. Johhny is so talented at acting, but he doesn’t seem able to hide how badly things are going right now.'

Depp met Paradis in 1998, while filming the Ninth Gate, and speaking about their 'love at first sight' encounter, he once said: 'She turned round and boom! My life as a single man was done.'
