Christina Aguilera on gaining weight: 'I love my body'

She has battled speculation about her weight for years but Christina Aguilera has revealed she's happy with her fuller figure, and boyfriend Matt Rutler is crazy for her curves, too.

The 31-year-old singer addressed the issue of her changing shape while promoting TV show The Voice at the Langham Huntington hotel in California yesterday.

Speaking to the press, she said: 'I have a boyfriend that loves my body. I love my body, my son is healthy and happy and that is all that matters.'

She added: 'Women, we are definitely under a microscope and under massive scrutiny. As long as I am happy in my own skin, that is all that is all the confirmation I need.'

Wearing a plunging Thomas Wylde leopard print maxi dress, Christina explained that confidence played a huge part in being a successful female music artist.

She said: 'You have got to be a strong, powerful, very confident woman.'

The singer, who has a three-year-old son with ex-husband Jordan Bratman, has been dating Matt Rutler since late 2010.
