Emily Blunt shines at the Salmon Fishing in the Yemen premiere

Emily Blunt opened the Palm Springs International Film Festival with a glamorous flourish in a stunning Marios Schwab dress.

The actress' new movie, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, was the festival's opening night movie and the 28-year-old aptly chose a salmon-pink mesh dress from the designer's spring/summer 2012 collection for her big moment.

Teamed with metallic peep-toe shoes, an embellished clutch and chunky diamond studs, Blunt looked top-to-toe gorgeous.

The film - which had some scenes shot at Marie Claire HQ in London - also stars Ewan McGregor and Kristin Scott Thomas.

Salmon Fishing in the Yemen will be released in the UK in March 2012.
