Kevin Federline happy for engaged Britney Spears

Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline has said he's 'totally happy' about the pop star's new engagement to Jason Trawick.

It seems that despite their difficult divorce in 2006, Britney and Kevin can now be amicable with one another.

Five years on from the break-up, Kevin has said he is 'totally happy' for the newly engaged Britney.

Britney's ex-husband went on to add that she's in 'a good place' and very happy.

The new dad, who is currently dating girlfriend Victoria Prince, told Australia's TV Week magazine: 'She's happy; she's doing really well. I want to say she's in a good place. I haven't spoken to her much since I've been over here, both of us have been busy with her being on tour, but I do know from talking to the kids and talking to the kids' teachers that they're doing really good.'

Kevin clearly has no hard feelings towards Britney's new fiancé, and said he thinks Jason is 'a great guy,' and adding: 'The kids speak highly of him. Her family loves him.'

Kevin and Britney, who have two sons, Preston, 6, and Jayden, 5, went through a troublesome relationship, which saw the pop star suffer an emotional break down.

Federline, now father of five, says it 'tore his heart to pieces' watching Spears struggle, but said he is now grateful that the 'dramatic, depressing stage' of their lives are done.
