Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise wow at Mission Impossible premiere

Katie Holmes looked stunning as she joined Tom Cruise in a Holmes & Yang dress at the Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol premiere in Los Angeles last night.

The 49-year-old Mission Impossible actor has spent the last few weeks traveling the globe to promote his new action film, but wife Katie Holmes had been noticeably absent - so far.

Finally, last night, the couple stepped out together on home soil at the LA premiere held at the Ziegfeld Theatre.

The actress, who turned 33 on Sunday, looked wonderfully elegant in a navy Holmes & Yang dress and Lanvin shoes.

Katie and Tom gave waiting fans a very public display of affection as they kissed, laughed and joked their way down the red carpet.

Over the weekend, Katie celebrated her 33rd birthday with a family dinner at the Buddakan restaurant in New York and then with a visit to see the Radio City Rockettes.
