Beckhams rubbish claims they moaned about Royal Wedding seats

By Lisa Potter - Thursday 15 December 2011

David and Victoria Beckham have hit out at claims they moaned at being given 'cheap seats' during the Royal Wedding.

As close friends of Prince William, David and Victoria Beckham were two of the privileged celebrity guests to be invited to the Royal Wedding in April.

However today they were forced to rubbish claims that they moaned about sitting at the back of Westminster during the ceremony.

The Queen's cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson, told a U.S TV show that they were seething about being relegated to the back of the church.

During the documentary called 'Inside The Royal Wedding', which aired on NBC last night, host Natalie Morales, said: 'On the day of the wedding you recall that there were thousands of people seated inside and it was very hard to get good seats, unless you were one of the royals.

'Well, it turns out the Beckhams, as we hear from the Queen’s cousin, weren’t pleased with where they were seated.'

But David, 36, and Victoria, 37, have branded the accusations 'utter rubbish.'

Last night a spokesman for the Beckhams said: 'We have never had any dealings with Lady Elizabeth Anson.

'David and Victoria were honoured to be at the Royal Wedding and it is utter rubbish to say otherwise.'

David and William became friends after teaming together during campaigns for the failed World Cup and the London Olympics.
