Amanda Seyfried: 'Playing Linda Lovelace is terrifying'

Amanda Seyfried has spoken out about her challenging new film role and admits that playing porn star Linda Lovelace is 'terrifying'

The 26-year-old actress is set to play American porn star Linda Lovelace in a biopic scheduled for next year.

Talking to ABC news about her new movie, Amanda said, 'It’s going to be really hard and kind of terrifying at the same time.'

'I do have some liberties there but I am playing someone that existed in history and had quite an established reputation for something very extreme.'

Seyfried, who is more commonly known for her cutesy blonde roles, will star alongside the Green Lantern villian-actor Peter Sarsgaard, who will play Linda's husband in the film.

Lovelace eventually left the porn industry and became an anti-pornography activist.

Amanda said that when doing research on the actress she found Lovelace was, 'a different person than what we expect.'

Seyfried's Mean Girls co-star, Lindsay Lohan, was originally rumoured to play Lovelace but was reportedly sacked from the role after run-ins with the law.

Miss Seyfried also celebrated her 26th birthday this week with a 1920's themed party. The In Time star was presented with a huge birthday cake as she partied in a gorgeous Alberta Ferretti gown.
