Rihanna hospitalised in Sweden

Rihanna was forced to cancel a Swedish gig on her Loud Tour in Malmo yesterday, after being rushed to hospital.

The superstar is currently touring Scandinavia as part of her Loud Tour, but had to postpone her concert in Malmo, Sweden, yesterday after being taken to hospital with the flu.

Rihanna took to Twitter to apologise to her Swedish fans, writing, 'Sorry, Malmo!' alongside a snap taken from her hospital bed of her arm on an IV drip.

The 23-year-old singer later issued a longer statement, explaining, 'I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo... I was so excited to perform for you all.'

She added, 'It would have been a great time… so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I'm really disappointed I couldn't be there.'

It is no surprise that RiRi is run down and has fallen ill, after being on the road non-stop since June.

And she slows no signs of slowing down soon, as yesterday it was also announced Rihanna would be back in the UK for the beginning of December to headline the Jingle Bell Ball at the O2.

The concert, which will also feature Calvin Harris, Olly Murs, The Wanted, Pixie Lott and Jason Derulo sold out 16,000 tickets in less than an hour.
