Dionne Bromfield, 15-year-old soul sensation and goddaughter of the late Amy Winehouse, broke down on stage at The Big Chill festival on Saturday as she dedicated her final song to the star.

Just last month, Dionne was a carefree teenager with an exciting future ahead of her and one of the best mentors in the business. But the tragic loss of her godmother, mentor and 'soulmate' Amy Winehouse has taken its toll on the young star.

AMY WINEHOUSE'S FAMILY LEFT BEREFT BY LOSS

Playing at The Big Chill on Saturday, just two weeks since Amy Winehouse died, aged 27, Dionne broke down in tears during a cover of the Back to Black hit Love Is A Losing Game.

Dionne was signed to Amy Winehouse’s label Lioness Records, and her appearance at the festival in Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire, was to be one of her biggest yet.

She performed a 30-minute set, backed by a five-piece band and backing dancers, that included Cee Lo Green's Forget You and her own hit single Yeah Right.

But on her final number, Dionne choked up and was barely able to sing the final words. The crowd kept her going by cheering and many expressed their support on Twitter:

@Katieljames tweeted: 'Just watched Dionne Bromfield sing "love is a losing game" with tears rolling down her face. Too sad.'

And @Chlotesque wrote: ‘Dionne Bromfield closing her set and dedicating the last song to her Godmother, mentor and boss Amy Winehouse was sweet. Amazing voice too’

Dionne spoke candidly about her late godmother, telling the audience: 'She was an amazing singer. She was not only my godmother, but she was my mentor and my boss as well.'

Amy Winehouse was found dead in her Camden home on 23rd July. See our retrospective on the tragic star, here.
