Angelina Jolie reveals Maddox and Pax' favourite insect snack

With a new celebrity diet emerging every week, we’re no stranger to hearing the weird and wonderful things the A-list like to eat.

But now Angelina Jolie has revealed her children have taken a liking to a rather unusual snack – crickets!

The Tourist actress has revealed kids Maddox 9, and seven-year-old Pax munch on the insect treats ‘like Doritos’ after being introduced to the delicacy during a trip to Cambodia.

‘My boys love to eat crickets. It's their favorite thing,’ the 36-year-old actress reveled during a video shoot for Louis Vuitton's Core Values campaign.

‘When I first gave it to them . . . I wanted them not to be turned off by something that was of their culture. They ate them like Doritos, and they wouldn't stop.’

In fact, the cheeky children consumed so many of the hopping treats, that the actress even put a ban on the insects.

‘They brought to-go boxes home and I had to actually ban the cricket eating at a certain point because I was afraid they were going to get sick from too many,’ she said.

Ms Jolie confessed to giving the cricket treats a try herself, comparing them to chips.

‘They're good,’ she laughed. ‘They're like a potato chip.’

We can’t say we’re convinced!
