Is that Katy Perry we see? We could hardly believe our eyes when we spied new snaps of the usually gorgeous starlet – complete with geek chic transformation - earlier today.

But we needn’t have worried, Katy’s adventurous new look isn’t part of a style overhaul. The starlet dressed down to play the part of Kathy Beth Terryin a hilarious new video to accompany single Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F).

The brunette beauty dons glasses, braces and oh-so-flattering denim dungarees for the Marc Klasfeld-directed, 80s style video.

Reportedly inspired by her favourite teen flicks, as well as brand new movie The Hangover, Katy wakes up to find herself surrounded by the debris of a party.

And what a party it must have been…

Miss Perry is also joined by more than a few of her famous friends in the colourful vid, including our favourite Glee geek Kevin McHale and hunk Darren Criss, controversian singing sensation Rebecca Black, 90s band Hanson.

Her parents are even played by Debbie Gibson and Corey Feldman! Hilarous.
