Fergie: 'Princess Diana would have loved Kate Middleton'

Sarah Ferguson talks Kate Middleton on Piers Morgan's CNN TV show

While the nation has already fallen head over heels for Kate Middleton, the Duchess of York has said that she believes Princess Diana would have loved her too.

Talking to Piers Morgan on his CNN Tonight show, Fergie said that she thinks that the late princess would have been a huge fan of son Prince William’s new bride and would have seen her as the daughter she never had.

Ferguson - who wasn’t invited to April’s royal wedding - also believes that Diana and the new Duchess of Cambridge ‘would have been the best of friends’ sharing a love of fashion and shopping.

When quizzed about what Diana would have made of their wedding day, she replied: ‘Total pride, total pride, we all did didn’t we?...It was an amazing day.’
