Katy Perry and Russell Brand turned down 'millions' for wedding pics

California Dreams singer Katy Perry has dished the dirt on her marriage to Russell Brand in a new interview, revealing they were offered millions for coverage of their intimate Indian wedding – but that the couple staunchly refused.

‘The press is just not your friend when it comes to marriage,' she let slip to Vanity Fair magazine. ' That’s why we didn’t sell the pictures of our wedding, and we got offered millions of dollars for them, millions.'

Justifying their decision, she explained: ‘I’ve seen too much of it with other people—it’s the wrong kind of attention. It detracts from the reason why you exist. We wanted that moment to ourselves.’

The couple wed last October in a private ceremony, which involved a pre-bash Safari for lucky guests, which included a trio of funny men - David Baddiel, Jonathan Ross and David Walliams.

Keeping with the exotic theme, the bride and groom exchanged wild gifts – a big cat and a baby elephant.

We wonder who’s looking after those while Katy’s on tour!
