Actress Scarlett Johansson stole the show at the White House Correspondent's Dinner in Washington over the weekend. And the topic of conversation as the A-lister stepped out with new beau Sean Penn? Her red hot fiery new ‘do.

The starlet swapped her signature glossy blonde locks for an altogether stronger colour, walking the red carpet to debut her sizzling new shade.

Scarlett left her luscious locks long and loose for the cameras, with her trademarks laid back waves still in place.

And the perfect accessory for Miss Johansson’s brave new shade? Her glittering grey Elie Saab gown.

The starlet kept accessories to a minimum, letting her brand new barnet do the talking, adding just a simple silver necklace and nude heels to complete her ensemble.

Reportedly staying firmly on the arm of the lovely Sean Penn, Scarlett mixed with the likes of Anna Paquin, Arianna Huffington, Amy Poehler and Michael Bloomberg, and of course President Obama at the swanky annual bash.
