Tom Cruise to guest star in Glee?

First Gwyneth Paltrow, now Tom Cruise? Rumour has it the A-list superstar could be joining the likes of Gwynnie and songstress Britney Spears, with a cameo in all singing, all dancing hit show Glee.

After the success of Ms Paltrow’s stint on the show, it’s thought bosses love the idea of signing more big names up for small parts on the show.

Earlier this year, it was rumoured that Glee creator Ryan Murphy offered Oscar host Anne Hathaway a slot, after they hit it off at an awards show party.

And now it seems Tom Cruise is the latest Hollywood name on the list.

It’s thought that Glee execs were impressed with Tom’s hilarious Les Grossman sketch with Jennifer Lopez at last year's MTV Movie Awards, and hope to create something similar for the show.

‘The producers love the idea that Tom might create a character just like Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder,’ a source reportedly revealed to Showbizspy.

‘His dance rendition to Flo Rida’s Low went down so well with audiences and they know something like that would be just as popular, if not more so, on Glee.’

Insiders reveal the Hollywood action man is in talks to play a ‘failed and jaded pop star who is now teaching a Glee club at a rival school,’ revealing bosses are hoping to use Glee super fans Katie Holmes and daughter Suri to tempt him onto the show.

‘They are willing to let him have a lot of input into his character just to try to get him on the show,’ the source added.

‘They know Katie and Suri are big fans.’
