Miquita Oliver to be Lily Allen's chief bridesmaid?

Channel Four presenter Miquita Oliver has been chosen by Lily Allen to play chief bridesmaid at her country nuptials in June, according to reports.

It’s thought the pair have been pals for years and after sending out her save-the-date cards last month, it’s thought Lily tasked Miquita with the top role at her Gloucestershire wedding.

‘Lily and Miquita have been friends since childhood so there was always going to be a good chance she would be the maid of honour,’ a friend of the pair told the Sun.

And the party-loving presenter’s most important job? Organising the hen do.

‘Miquita knows Lily inside out and is bound to put on a great party for the hen do,’ the insider added of the celebrations.

‘They've grown up a bit now but both of them still know how to hit it hard.’

It’s thought Elton John and David Furnish have also been invited to Lily’s wedding, where she'll tie the knot to boyfriend Sam Cooper on June 11, but not supermodel Kate Moss.

The pair have reportedly fallen out over their nuptials this summer - Kate will reportedly marry rocker Jamie Hince - after deciding to hold their hen parties on the same day.

'Lily and Kate are more like 'frenemies' these days,' one insider told the Mail on Sunday. 'Lily was upset when she heard that Kate was throwing her own hen night on the same weekend as hers,’

'Lily then brought hers forward to May, but the whole thing has left a bitter taste. Kate hasn't received a proper invitation to the wedding and she won't be sending Lily one to hers in July, either. It's awkward as they have mutual friends who may feel divided.’
