Myleene Klass and baby Hero

As a veteran Tweeter, it should come as no surprise that former pop star Myleene Klass decided to unveil her newborn baby girl to the world via a quick pic on the social networking site this afternoon.

At just a week old, teeny Hero Harper was joined by big sis, three-year-old Ava, for the cute snap, taken by dad Graham Quinn. Myleene captioned the photo: ‘World meet Hero, Hero meet world! One whole week old today! (Dad's the official photographer!)'

Weighing in at just 6lbs 2oz, Hero was born last Friday. The name has its origins in both Greek mythology and Shakespeare.

In response to her well-wishers she tweeted: ‘You guys! I am completely and utterly overwhelmed by all your kind msgs for my family. Thank you so very much.’

The 32-year-old M&S model and TV presenter kept followers constantly in the loop throughout her pregnancy with updates on her Twitter page.

On her way to the studio to record her show for Classic FM last week the day before she gave birth, she joked about going into labour on the tube, tweeting: 'a timely arrival would certainly flummox them!’

bonny baby shame about the name - there are so many lovely girls' names out there and this name says 'male' immediately - poor little girl - still she might have a pretty middle name! :)
