It's a girl for David and Victoria Beckham!

After weeks of speculation, proud parents-to-be David and Victoria Beckham have finally confirmed they are expecting a girl.

With three boisterous boys already running the Beckham household, mum-to-be Victoria has made no secret of her wish to have a girl.

And now her dream is about to come true.

After keeping us waiting weeks for the happy news,David finally confirmed Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz will be welcoming a sister come summer, during a televised fan event with US football club, LA Galaxy.

The sports star revealed he and Victoria were ‘still in shock’ after learning they are to finally have a girl, but ‘over the moon’ about the news.

‘Obviously, we're very lucky to be expecting again, and this is the first time I'm going to say it: It's a little girl,’ David told the crowd.

'We're still in shock. Obviously, having three boys, you kind of expect another one, so finding out a little girl is in there is surprising, but, obviously, we are over the moon.'

This comes as Victoria was spotted showing off the beginnings of a baby bump, as she touched down at Heathrow over the weekend.

Last week, rumours the Beckham family could be hearing the pitter patter of tiny female feet were fuelled by Posh’s American BFF Eva Longoria, who had reportedly been tasked with organising a pink-themed baby shower.

Eva is thought to have hired suites at LA’s ultra-exclusive Chateau Marmont hotel for the event, which will be held before the Beckham baby is due this summer,

And rumour has it excited Mrs B told her famous friend she would like a pink-themed bash, complete with pretty pink balloons.

David announced Victoria’s pregnancy to fans on Facebook back in January, while Mrs B Tweeted of her excitement.

‘Thank u so much for your kind and beautiful messages!! we are all so happy and very excited!!!!!!!x vb x’ she wrote.

much as I dislike her I am pleased for her- and she shouldn't be wearing shoes like the ones above!

Good luck!!! Victoria about time you had some one on your side. A baby girl is just what you need and she will be a beautifull as her mother. Take no notice of all the jealous bitches on here, you are a wonderfull mom and you look bloody marvellous for your age. Enjoy your pregnancy! :-) xxx

Yes I am pleased for them, however, I think they should be more considerate of their boys feelings, keep going on about a dream come true having a girl, how will that make the boys feel?Second best ?? Very insensitive I think.

She is a great mum and I wish her the best and am so pleased that she has the little girl that she wanted..though another boy would have been just as welcome..lovely family.
Bet she will be gorgeous with the family looks... roll on 17 years and there will be a stunner!!!..with several sibling brotherguards by her...what a lucky little girl.

Most tabloids or news stories have always indicated that Victoria wants a little girl the next time around the house is full of boys already. Congrats on the big news - I bet the family is very elated. Victoria you need to relax and wear more comfortable clothes - I would like to see a smile on your face all the pics are so serious glum. We would like to see a more positive upbeat happy face Victoria xoxo

As a mother of three sons and then a grandson.I know exactly how she feels. you dearly love your sons but you crave for a girl.As they say 'a girl's your daughter all of your life, but a boy is a son until he takes a wife!' ..very true!
