Lily Allen urges fans to boycott new TV show
By Eleanor Young on Thursday 10 March 2011
Earlier this week, it was reported Lily Allen had finally spoken about tragically losing her baby last December, in a TV documentary set to air next week.
But now the singer has urged fans not to watch the show, revealing she is now a 'completely different person, and her comments – actually filmed more than a year ago - have been 'totally sensationalised'.
Yesterday quotes emerged of Lily speaking of her sadness after suffering a miscarriage.
'It was a really long battle,’ she revealed, ‘I think that kind of thing changes a person.'
Now Lily has confirmed she was talking of the baby she tragically lost with then-boyfriend Ed Simons, in 2008, not the most recent sad event, last December.
Talking of the new Channel 4 documentary – Lily Allen: From Riches to Rags – which follows the star and her sister Sarah as they open vintage clothes store, Lucy In Disguise, angry Lily took to Twitter to set the record straight.

'Just a couple of things, some of you may have read about a TV show called "Riches to Rags" (title not my idea) airing on Tuesday next week,' she wrote.
'We started filming it a year ago and I feel like a completely different person than the one that features in the programme.
'I'm inclined to ask you not to watch it cause quite frankly I am embarrassed.
'On the other hand I want you all to watch it so you can see how the press coverage of it has been totally sensationalised and quotes taken out of context,' she continued.
'I should probably know better than to write this here but I feel it's the only place that my words don't get minced. That is all.'

I wouldn't have even know this show was going to be aired if I hadn't have read all these comments in the press, both online and in the papers. Even if lilys pleas are genuine and she really doesn't want us to watch, she has just gone and done the opposite. I am intregued as to what is on the show now!

After her unbearable baby loss Im not surprised that she has been in a state about all this...why cant people just let her get on with what she wants to do...but are there any truths in the suggestion she is to take over from S.C. on X Factor...what a coup to be asked. She certainly has opinions...I wish her the very best with whatever she wants to do

Classic case of celebs courting the media when it suits them and then avoiding the media when it doesn't - I'm afraid Lily, like so many before you - made your bed and lie in it. Be careful where you advertide yourself in future. If it's that upsetting and such a private matter why share it with the nation?
