Sean Penn and Scarlett Johansson have already denied they’re dating, but those rumours just refuse to go away. And now the pair have been spied on two romantic dates in two days – including a super-secret day trip to Mexico.

Scarlett is said to have hooked up with Sean – more than 20 years her senior – for the first time in January, while staying at LA’s notorious Chateau Marmont hotel.

'Their first hook-up was in Scarlett's Bungalow,' said a source, who revealed they bonded over a shared interest of charity work in Haiti.

‘Scarlett first reached out to Sean when she was planning to visit Haiti with Oxfam,’ says the source. She knew Sean was living there in a tent and turned to him for advice.'

Despite playing down talk of a romance, it's rumoured the starlet is bestotted with the Oscar-winning Milk actor, and has been spending more time than ever in his company.

Earlier this week, pictures emerged of Scarlett and Sean looking really rather cosy, during a quiet lunch date at Cuban restaurant Versailles in LA, with Miss Johansson resting her foot in Sean's lap while she snacks on a plate of food.

And the pair enjoyed their date so much, it seems they decided to have another one the very next day.

According to gossip queen Perez Hilton, Sean swept Scarlett off to Mexico for a romantic trip to the exclusive Las Ventanas resoirt.

‘They were last seen at the resort's spa bar, drinking margaritas, talking, smoking and nibbling on ceviche,’ one insider revealed.

‘When they finished, they left quietly and casually, but also hand in hand.'

Scarlett split with hubby Ryan Reynolds back in December, while Sean finalised his divorce with wife Robyn last year.
