Just when we thought there wasn’t a spare space on his body, David Beckham has added yet another new tattoo to his collection – a classical inking depicting himself and his two sons.

The footballing star was so excited about his new tattoo, he took straight to facebook to show it off to fans, uploading several detailed pictures.

‘I know some of you like them and some of you aren't so keen, but I wanted to share my new tattoo with you all on Facebook first...,’ he wrote.

The classical inking depicts Jesus and three cherubs, which, apparently, represent him and three sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

‘It’s Jesus being carried by three cherubs, and obviously the three cherubs are boys,’ David revealed in an interview.

‘At some point my boys are going to need to look after me and that’s what they’re doing in the picture

The sprawling tattoo, on the left side of his chest, took two painful sessions, and a whopping 12 hours in total. Ouch.

‘Everything has a meaning that I’ve got on me,’ he adding, referring to his impressive collection.

With already more than 18 other inkings, we're surprised David could find any room for his latest skin sketching.

Among others, Becks already has a crucifix on the back of his neck and a couple of guardian angels on his shoulders, as well Jesus sitting on the cross, and ten roses linked around his arm - a tribute to Victoria on their 10th wedding anniversary.

I am sorry but this looks dead ugly to me. Nothing attractive about covering your entire body with huge tatooes...Will he ever stop?

I think they should be renamed TWATOOS...!!! Here is scaring himself for life, yet if he was born with scares, or got them through an accident, he'd want sympathy. Grow up why don't you and just think about those kids and people out there that would love to have perfect skin.. Not really a good example..

I see nothing wrong in tattoo's some tat artists do wonderful work, but picturing yourself as Jesus hmmm. Say's a lot really doesn't it.

How quick people are to jump on the 'Jesus' thing...I did not hear Mr Beckham compare himself to Jesus at any point...he did say that the three cherubs carrying Jesus is sybolic of his boys caring for him in later life...and what a terrible sentiment that is...let's burn him at the stake!
If tatoos are your thing this strikes me as a beautiful piece of work...if they are not...if is probably best to avoid having any.

I think they just make his skin look dirty.Why spoil such a fabulous body with graffiti? It will be interesting to see how they all look when hes old and wrinkly !!

Oh for goodness sake course he doesn't see himself as Jesus it's a tattoo for goodness sake, doesn't mean he thinks he's Jesus he wanted a new tattoo and got one which happens to be of Jesus! Others will have similar tattoos, doesn't mean they think their them or mean they want to be them!

tattoos are very personal,for every person that has any,ask anybody who has any and they would tell you a touching story for everyone of them.of course thats not including the idiots who have,tweeypie for instance on their bottom!!!!!!! david has a beautiful body,and extremly talented artists have,left their beautiful artwork,that i know hes very proud of

If first shown on twitter then the headline can't say 'first look' ??! And it is awful, personally don't see the point of tattoo's .....p.s upon a persons death are we suppose to mount the skin ....? Its dead money and no inheritance for anyone. Waste of money. Oh durr, thats the point ....David has so much money he don't know what to do with it xx
