Celebs style their HARE for Great Ormond Street charity
By Eleanor Young on Wednesday 9 February 2011
A whole host of huge names - from Cheryl Cole to Stella McCartney - have been getting creative this week, styling their very own hare canvasses, in aid of Great Ormond Street hospital.
Thought up by celebrity hairdresser Michael Van Clarke – whose daughter Anjelica was given at lifesaving operation at the hospital at just two days old - the Hare styling event is part of a huge HAREraising initiative, which aims to raise a whopping £1 million for Great Ormond Street’s charity.
Now 15, Anjelica has drawn a hare – which has been sent out to A-listers far and wide, for them to customise – to help raise the much-needed funds.
Everyone from Cheryl Cole to Stella McCartney, Jamie Olive and Tracey Emin has lent a hand, all creating their very own version of the hare, on a one off, signed canvas.

And to raise money, the individual designs will be auctioned off at the glittering Hare Ball, set to be held at Park Lane’s exclusive Dorchester, on 26 May.

‘My family knows first-hand the incredible difference the hospital can make and I am always looking for ways to show my gratitude.’ Hare creator Michael Van Clarke said of the star-studded campaign.
‘The fundraising potential of these canvases is huge and we are so grateful for the time and effort people have put in to creating them.
‘We are also looking forward to handing over a big cheque to the charity once all the canvases have been sold.’
