And the circus begins again. On the same day as her ex Peter Andre confirmed a new relationship with Elen Rivas, Katie Price has revealed her marriage to Alex Reid is in crisis, taking to Twitter to send a message to fans.

This days after the News of the World published a story revealing Katie and Alex have been locked in make-or-break talks, which could spell the end of their 11-month union.

It’s thought the pair jetted off to a secret hideaway, and spent New Year holed up discussing their future.

‘They love each other very much but know it takes more than that to make a marriage work,’ one insider revealed.

‘It is no exaggeration to say that the marriage is in crisis.

'They needed some time on their own without any distractions to talk and see if they had something worth saving. They love each other very much and are doing everything they can to make it work.'

And today, Katie has confirmed reports her marriage to Alex is in trouble, Tweeting a special message to fans.

‘To answer my fans questions news of the world did a accurate story sunday about our marriage in crises ..always look on bright side xx,’ she wrote.

Speculation surrounding Katie’s marriage comes on the same day her ex-hubby Peter Andre confirmed a relationship with footballer Frank Lampard’s former girlfriend, Elen Rivas.

Reps for the pair released a statement, revealing they have been dating in secret for ‘a couple of months’.

'She is so classy and beautiful, just the change I needed after everything that has happened in the last two years,’ Peter reportedly told friends.

No one knows what goes on within a relationship, and I do wish all involved happiness, but let's face it, it doesn't take much to be classier that Katie Price!

OK I'm not Katie Prices' biggest fan but I wish Peter Andre would get over hinself. Yes he probably did have an unhappy marriage and I can't imagine that she is an easy person to live with but boy does he owe her a lot! Lovely children aside, he has his career and wealth mainly becuase of her. He was a washed up soap star that only a few people had heard of. He then meets Katie Price and bam, lives in a mansion has a record deal and a TV career that he couldn't get his mitts on before plus squillions in the bank. Not bad for a few years marriage eh Peter? Now grow up and stop making snide remarks about a woman who managed to get you the things you wouldn't have ever achieved without her.

i think katie priceis fab ,no one knows anyones elses buisness so should not comment ,this is why the world is as it is ,i am sure either party (katie or pete were hard to live wi,are all you saying you are easy to live you ?

Leanne, I appreciate what you are saying as no one really knows what goes on behind closed doors. HOWEVER, these people live their life firmly in the spotlight. They choose for literally every aspect of their lives to be shown, however personal and if we don't see it, then they are tweeting about it every five minutes. So as far as I'm concerned, if they want to do this then they must be aware that people are going to comment on them. They have made their marriage and divorce public property so you can't help but form an opinion of them. And by the way I'm a gem to live with. Just ask my boyfriend! :)

what suze also needs to remember katie did not make them beautiful children by herself, she won mother of the year, and also got a bigger fan base when she got with peter andre, so NO he doesnt owe her nothing.
