Natalie Portman engaged and pregnant

Black Swan star Natalie Portman has some special news this Christmas - she's expecting her first child with choreographer Benjamin Millepied in spring 2011 and the pair also plan to marry next year

Natalie revealed her news in People magazine.

The 29-year-old actress met the New York City ballet dancer Millepied when the pair worked together on Black Swan - the movie that's already been tipped for Oscar success in 2011.

French-born Millepied, 32, was hired by the makers of Black Swan to choreograph the star's dancing for the role.

But it seems that the chemistry extended a little beyond the production set. The star revealed in a statement to Entertainment Weekly on Monday:

'I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience.'
