Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman split

It hasn't been a good week for Hollywood marriages. Just yesterday Courteney Cox and David Arquette announced their separation, and today songstress Christina Aguilera has confirmed she has split from her husband of five years, Jordan Bratman.

The pair met in 2002, after being introduced by music bosses, and tied the knot three years later in a lavish Hollywood wedding.

But yesterday Christina confirmed the break-up in a statement to fans.

‘Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,’ it read.

The reason behind the split is still unknown, although it’s thought the pair had drifted apart in recent months.

'They were very much in love. But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife,' a source told Us Weekly.

‘They are now living apart and they will see how that goes,' the insider added, ‘but that they have not yet decided on whether they will divorce’.

The pair have a two-year-old son, Max.

I did once read somewhere..prob tacky mag..that he did not like her appearing in sexy dressed mode....for her songs and the dancing..though I thought she was great..Now she has gone the total all out Monroe glam and look...Who knows..who will ever know...Hollywood is falling apart at the seams lately.
