The Wall Street Star is currently undergoing a gruelling stint of chemotherapy for aggressive throat cancer, which was discovered by doctors just months ago.

At the time, Catherine spoke of her anger that medics missed vital signs, and didn’t catch the disease earlier.

'It makes me furious they didn't detect it earlier,' she said at the time of his diagnosis. 'He sought every option and nothing was found.'

During her appearance at the Welsh golfing tournament, Catherine spoke of her hubby - who is an avid golf fan - in a speech, updating competitors on his progress.

'Michael's not travelling with me this weekend. He's just finishing up his treatment,' she said.

'He's strong and the doctors are so happy and he's just about to complete - what anyone who's gone through it knows - a pretty gruelling eight weeks.'

But just hours after her commitments ended, Katherine dashed back to the airport to fly home - even though she was expected to stay and watch the tournament - sparking rumours his health had taken a turn for the worse.

It's also thought Catherine's put her film career on hold, pulling out of upcoming movie My Week with Marilyn, starring Kenneth Branagh, Michelle Williams and Emma Watson.

Get well soon, Michael.
