First Gwyneth, now Britney! Glee season 2 aired to a whopping 2.3 million viewers in the US yesterday, and now we’ve got our hands on the very first sneak peek of the Britney Spears episode.

Excitement reached fever pitch when Brit stepped on to the set to film her cameo just last month, with the excited star Tweeting pictures and news from the set.

And Miss Spears let slip a few secrets, hinting she may even be performing one of her hits, and could be set to battle it out against Glee’s very own Heather Morris to recreate the famous steamy Britney/Madonna video.

Now the very first episode promo has been released, giving us a tiny, one-minute-long peek inside the long awaited show.

And it looks amazing.

The clip features the cast performing a handful of Brit’s best hits, including Hit Me Babay, Slave 4U, Stronger and Oops I Did It Again, but no shots of the star herself.
