FOX announced that the pair will be sitting next to panelist Randy Jackson when the talent show hits screens for the tenth time.

Presenter Ryan Seacrest revealed the new judges will replace X Factor’s Simon Cowell, and the unfilled guest slot which saw Victoria Beckham and Katy Perry take to the judging panel in place of Paula Abdul during season nine.

AndJ-Loannounced at a press conference that she’s ‘looking for the next Michael Jackson’.

The star also explained her approach as a judge on American Idol, which is the most popular TV reality show in the world: ‘As an artist myself, I could never be cruel to another artist.'

‘I think there are definitely better ways to get your point across. I’ve mentored on the show before, so I think people have seen that and kinda can feel how I’ll be - or maybe they’ll be surprised,’ she said.
