Furious Kelly Osbourne let rip a bizarre seven-post-long rant on Twitter over the weekend, defending mum Sharon over claims made in Dannii Minogue’s new book.

The youngest Osbourne branded Dannii a ‘poor middle aged victim’, and called her ‘the devil’ in the angry Twitter tirade, rubbishing claims her mum was a bully on the show.

This follows the release extracts from Dannii’s Minogue’s soon to be released autobiography, Dannii: My Story, in which she claims the famous Mrs Osbourne reduced her to tears on her first day in the new X Factor job.

The Project D designer reveals Sharon ‘bowled in’ and ‘demanded to know why I hadn't gone to the press to tell them what a nice person she was' on her first day, adding: 'The minute she left, I burst into tears. I'd managed to hold it together while Sharon had been there, but once she'd gone I couldn't hold it in, and I wept into my hands.

'I wasn't crying because I thought there was any truth to what she'd said - I was crying because someone I had previously looked up to had bawled in my face and ruined my big night.'

Now Kelly Osbourne has waded into the row, rubbishing Dannii’s claims and warning her to ‘shut her mouth and concentrate on motherhood’.

‘The best thing to happen to dannii's career was that my mother hated her she needs to shut her mouth and concentrate on motherhood!,’ she Tweeted furiously on Sunday.

‘i will be the first one to admit that my mother did not play her cards right when came to dannii but trust me when i say dannii is the devil,' she added.

‘dannii you are so lucky that i respect simon enough to not tell the truth about what really happened. wa wa wa you poor middle aged victum’

But it seems Kelly’s comments didn’t go down too well with Dannii’s fans, as the star then tried to (sarcastically!) explain herself.

‘to the 12 dannii fans out there i ask you this question what would you do if someone wrote a book of lies about your mother?,’ she wrote.

‘i think you all forget i was there i saw everything and if my mum was the "bully" why was she the one the left the show?

‘sorry i have just had to deal with this bulls**t 4 years and i have kept my mouth shut but i am sick and tired of her lies enough is enough.’

Kelly ended her rant with a final irate message, reading: ‘what the f**k is wrong with some of you people its not just some friend i am defending its my MOTHER!!!!!’

Oh dear.

Ugly Kelly is just as rude and unbearable as her mother. She lowers herself to the same low level as her mother, so no surprise. Dannii is a much better person, at least, so she comes across. she doesnt use vulgarity to 'raise her profile'

Something just doesn't add up here. Sharon seemed to be really happy to work with Minogue, she wouldn't just suddenly start hating her before the show even got off the ground. I think Dannii is being a bit economical with the truth here, something must have happened for Mrs O to turn on her.

Well there are always two sides to every tale and I'm sure both woman are at fault somewhere. However Mama Osbourne is really foul mouthed plus she has spent years being vile about Dannii Minogue in literally every magazine article she has appeared in. Works both ways I suppose!

Maybe something to do with the fact that Danni was a lot Better Looking,Younger etc, and did not have so many hang-ups that Mrs Osborne so obviously had, and after reading her daughters twittering she is not the only one. I know she is "sticking up for her mum" but really, to say she was always there so knew exactly what was said is garbage, there is no way she would ever go against her mum!

The fact that someone has to rant and rave clearly shows that something is wrong with them. The Osbournes seem to want to fight with everyone including each other (did you see the TV show). Poor Dannii and pathetic Osbournes!

Oh come on ... I think the way they are all carrying on is pathetic ...

She did this, she said that!!! It's like playground trivia and 2 women of that age (and both mothers I might add) should grow up and set a better example for their children.

Sharon has sour grapes because Simon Cowell out Danni on the panel and Danni is trying to eek a few more ££'s out of the story by playing the victim ... boo hoo - get over it ladies!

All this inter-celebrity squabbling is so boring ... particulary when both parties are being equally moronic

I would think that in this day and age of libel cases it is highly unlikely that Dannii would have invented the story!! Kelly should learn to keep her mouth shut as SHE may be the one sued for libel!! Barbara Cornwall

You're making your mum out to be a saint Kelly and we all know what a stretch of the imagination that is. This is a woman who was spiteful and vicious about Su-Bo, a woman she had never even met. Sharon O has a nasty tongue so it wouldn't surprise me if this was a true account.......
