Wayne and Coleen Rooney - cheating scandal

The marriage of Wayne and Coleen Rooney hit the rocks this weekend, after it emerged that the footballer had cheated on his wife while she was pregnant with their son, Kai.

The Sunday Mirror broke the news that Wayne had paid a prostitute - 21-year-old Jennifer Thompson – for sex on multiple occasions, while Coleen was expecting their son.

Speaking to the paper, Thompson claims that Rooney paid her £1,200 each time, after meeting him in a casino in June 2009. Following their first meeting, she claims Rooney would chase her with 'sex texts' and' didn’t seem to care he was betraying Coleen.'

The cheating footballer would meet Thompson at hotels, and even invited her to his house when Coleen was away – but she refused.

Now 24-year-old Coleen has reportedly left the marital home to stay with her parents, as she contemplates the future of her marriage.

The Daily Mail claims today that the footballer broke the news to his wife via a text message, as she sat in the hairdressers: ‘Coleen had been getting her hair done on Saturday when Wayne texted her to break the news. He’s a coward for hiding behind a text message, especially when they’d been together earlier that day.’

The latest in a string of England footballer sex scandals this year – including Ashley Cole, John Terry and Peter Crouch – this is not the first time that Rooney has been accused of using prostitutes.

In 2004, it emerged that he had visited a 48-year-old prositite by the name of Patricia Tierney – at the time he was just 18.

They have been together since they were at school! I'm not saying it's okay for him to cheat, but they were so young and got swept up in everything that it's possible they have stayed together for the wrong reasons.
with the string of cheating footballers, it's a worry that for all those aspiring 'WAGS' it will be seen as okay for their man to cheat just because everyone else is doing it!

Well what a surprise! NOT!! Coleen deserves better for herself and her son. Footballers seem to think they can get away with cheating at the expense of their partners and families feelings. It is so hurtful. Yet time and time again they get forgiven. Move on Coleen and get yourself a real man.

What a horrific betrayal of Coleen while she was pregnant. I expect most of the women in the country are feeling for her right now.

Sadly though, I am really disappointed by some guys attitude to this story coming out, and same with John Terry; they seem to think it should be glossed over so the individuals can concentrate on their game. What sort of example are these guys setting to young boys?What sort of example are they setting to their sons?

Also, although Coleen has Kai to think about as well and nobody knows what a marriage is really like other than those in it, but what sort of example would she be setting to young women if she puts up with this again? That we should have to put up with shoddy behaviour and stand by our man... sometimes I wonder how far we have really got in the name of equality in the last 100 years.

Whilst I do not condone what Wayne Rooney has done in any way, I think it says a lot more about the money grabbing prostitute. Why else would she blab and ruin Colleens marriage. Some might say he did that himself, maybe, but the real villain here is Jernnifer Thompson and the Sunday Mirror. Papers like this do not care how badly they hurt people as long as they sell newspapers. There is no way they could justify this story as being in the public interest, they ruin peoples lives to make money. We all agree he should not have done what he did, but they should be left in private to sort out their problems. How mant men have done what hes has done, he is in the unfortunate position of being a target for all the money grabbing low lifes. No, I am not a fan, I hate football, and I cannot say I like either of them, I do not know them,only close friends and family can know them properly, but no one deserves this kind of treatment whoever they are. Leave them alone. There is a child involved in all this.

It's a horrible thing to do to any woman while she was carrying his child what an absolute idiot...and yes they are all overpaid footballers when was the last time he actually played well...Coleen is a beautiful woman and will be so much better off without him what a loser that he has to pay for sex does that have to do with the fact that he's ugly YES.

Im sorry but "not surprised" cant blame the Sunday Mirror.Wayne Rooney is responsible for his own actions. Incidentally the Mirror was the paper who ran a story (ON ITS FRONT PAGE NO LESS)a few months ago about the scandal of a young soldier injured in Afghanistan (lost a leg)who had his disability benefits stopped.Most of the other "newspapers" would rather depict brave men like him as benefit scroungers.At least the Mirror doesnt vilify the sick and disabled!

The danger these people put others in, there is still A.I.D.S out there !! Do people have no respect for themselves or others anymore ?? Their son could have been born with ANYTHING thanks to Wayne's dirty actions.
A shower does NOT wash away your chances of infection nor does a condom, it mearly lowers the chances. FOOL
