Catherine Zeta-Jones 'furious' at doctors who missed Michael Douglas's cancer

Catherine Zeta Jones has opened up Michael Douglas’s cancer diagnosis for the first time, revealing she is 'furious' doctors missed vital signs, and didn’t detect the disease earlier.
Talking to American magazine, People, the Welsh star has also told how the news didn’t come as a shock, after Michael had complained of throat pain and already seen medics before his diagnosis.
'It makes me furious they didn't detect it earlier,' she revealed in the new interview. 'He sought every option and nothing was found.'
But it seems they knew something was wrong.
'It wasn't a huge shock,’ she added. 'I knew something was up. He knew something was up.'
She said the pair had told their children, Dylan, 10, and seven-year-old Carys, and spoke of her sadness at seeing her husband battle the stage four throat cancer.
‘I know maybe I should be stronger, but...the hardest part is seeing his fatigue, because Michael is never tired.'

Meanwhile, Michael remained upbeat as he took to the stage on the David Letterman show.
The interview was scheduled before the star’s diagnosis, as he was set promote new flick Wall Street 2, but ever the professional, he upheld his slot on the show, and talked openly about his battle with the disease, revealing a walnut-size tumour was discovered on his throat just three weeks ago.
'It's been a long year and I do think this is stress-related,' he said, revealing of his treatment: 'It's intense, and so they've got to go at it. I am head and neck, nothing's gone down, and the expectations are good.'

I am 37 and my husband is 60. He suffers from ischemic heart disease.I nearly lost him 4 and a half years ago when he had a MAJOR heart attack and rehabilitation followed.I would like to wish this lovely couple Michael and Catherine and their beautiful children all the best. Get well soon Micheal.
