The model-turned-designer was recruited by her retail BFF Philip Green back in 2007, and has produced a whopping 13 collections for the store.
But yesterday it was announcedKate would be parting ways with the company after her 14th collection goes on sale in October.
The rumour mill went into overdrive after the revelation, amid reports of a falling out between Kate and the Arcadia boss, and suggestions Mr Green was planning to install his 19-year-old daughter Chloe in Kate’s position.
But Philip – who counts Simon Cowell and Anna Wintour among his friends – has rubbished the reports, insisting the split was all down to Miss Moss’s busy schedule.
'There have been no dramas and we don't need a new muse,' he told the Times yesterday. ‘There is only one Kate and we are not looking for a replacement.’

The retail mogul went on to say that Kate had been 'fantastic' for Topshop, but could no longer devote all her time to the project.
'Kate has done 14 collections with us,' he added.
'It has been fantastic for us and fantastic for her, but they take more and more time and she cannot do this full-time any more because she has other commitments.'
