Twilight twosome Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have found a new hiding place: the police station.

The pair were reportedly rescued by cops as they made their way from LAX airport last week, after being chased by paparazzi photographers on motorbikes, TMZ reports.

The in-demand couple had just touched down on a flight from Montreal – right after those kissing pictures had emerged – and stepped into a car waiting to take them on their journey home.

But after being chased by photographers – who took to motorbikes and cars just to catch a glimpse of them – the celebrity couple ducked into a local police station for cover, and the amused cops came to their rescue.

Reports suggest the pair hid under police cover until the photographers dispersed, and were then snuck out of a back entrance by the clever cops, who got the lucky pair back on the road unnoticed. Phew!
