PICS! Angelina Jolie starts work on Bosnian War film

Angelina Jolie has set the wheels in motion for a romantic film set during the Bosnian War.

Inspired by her recent visits to Bosnia in her role as UN Goodwill Ambassador, the A-list actress has announced she plans to shoot a movie in the country - and flew into Sarajevo on Saturday to start discussions.

Ms Jolie sat down with state officials Naveed Hussain and Haris Siladzic over the weekend to also talk her support of education in the country, and her backing projects to help in re-housing war refugees.

She also had a scout around for potential sets to use during her upcoming movie – for which filming is planned to start over the next couple of months.

‘The film is a love story, not a political statement,’ she says. ‘I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can.’

It's not yet been clarified as to whether Ange will be starring in the film, or taking a more directorial approach - but either way, it's one movie we can't wait to feast our eyes on.
