Suri the stylist! Proud mum Katie Holmes reveals Suri designs her own clothes

At just four years old, little Suri Cruise is already famed for her love of fashion. And now it seems we could have a designer in the making, after Katie Holmes has revealed Suri likes to design her own clothes.

The mini fashionista, who has chosen her own clothes ‘since the age of one-and-a-half,’ according to her proud mum, has now taken to helping make her own dresses, or redesign ones she already owns.

'I grew up the youngest of five, so there were a lot of hand-me-downs that I would sort of change up,' Katie told New York magazine.

'And Suri and I do that now with her clothes. Or rather, she does it. She says, "I want this sleeve cut," and it's like, "Okay, we'll cut it."'

Explaining her daughter’s love of fashion, Katie said: 'I started making clothes for Suri when she was born, designing dresses, and then having seamstresses sew them, because I don't sew very well.

'As a child, I was always drawing clothes, and I've always loved fabrics, and when Suri was born, I wanted to have certain things be from me and created just by me for her.'

And it seems Tom and Katie let Suri have free rein of the walk-in wardrobe, earning her the reputation of one of the most fashionable tots in Hollywood.

'She picks out all of her own clothes and has since she was one-and-a-half,’ Katie said.

And that’s not all. It seems Suri also advises her proud parents on what to wear in her new role as style queen.

'Tom and I went to the Met ball a couple of years ago, and I had this beautiful red gown and these royal-blue shoes that I wasn't planning on wearing, but Suri made me put them on and so I was like, "Okay, I trust you."'

Some kid!!! Most children are just learning to tie laces - Suri is "designing" her clothes.I don't think so.Perhaps some little creatures from outer space are helping out.

It's little wonder that Katie Holmes always looks like she got dressed in the dark if she's taking fashion tips from a four-year old!

This is just ridiculous. Most kids refuse to wear certain items and love others, in particular girls. My friend's girl only wants to wear purple and pink. This does not make her a fashion genius, only a princess wannabe (thanks to Walt Disney). And get that kid out of those heels!

O dear..
I suspect the insular life of scientology has done this..I do so hope that she grows up normally..poor little scrap...
I dont understand how Dad makes his films about all sorts and mum is an actress..yet..they cant see that this tots life is unnatural...anyone agree??
