Britney Spears WILL guest star in Glee

Get excited, Gleeks! Britney’s back, and not only is she getting her very own Glee episode, she’s also set to star in the hit US show.

Oh yes. Glee Boss Ryan Murphy has confirmed the superstar songstress will definitely be making an appearance.

'I will give you a little scoop,' he told Ryan Murphy Ryan Seacrest on his KISS FM show, ‘which is that Britney will 100% be on the episode, which is exciting. She's going to come and join us and do a couple scenes.’

But as yet he’s not sure whether Brit will play herself.

'I don't know yet,' he said. 'The fun thing about the way we're doing [the episode] is all the Britney Spears numbers are fantasies.'

Britney's already proclaimed herself to be a self-confessed Gleek, taking to twitter to tell followers: 'I love Glee, the cast is so talented.'

And she's had some acting experience in the form of a walk on part in US comedy series How I Met Your Mother.

So this is set to be an episode we must not miss!

she did not have a 'walk on part'. she was a substantial guest star in two episodes. and she also starred in her own movie (granted nobody saw it)...
