Lily Allen is pregnant!
By Lucy Hutchings on Thursday 5 August 2010
Lily Allen and boyfriend Sam Cooper have announced that they are expecting their first child.
The 25-year-old songstress confirmed her pregnancy to The Sun, saying: 'It brings me great pleasure to tell you that Sam and I are expecting our first child. It goes without saying that we are both absolutely delighted.'
Allen and her builder beau, 32, reportedly told friends and family the happy news over the weekend, after a scan confirmed Lily was three-months pregnant.
The couple first started dating back in July 2009, but have been friends for years.
Lily has often spoken of her desire to have a child, and rumours that she might be expecting started doing the rounds after it was noted she did not smoke or drink at last month's Wireless festival, and she pulled out of an appearance at Benacassim.

It's nice news but I don't know what happened to people getting married first? Having children is a huge commitment with someone, you ought to be able to stand up and say 'I want to be with you forever' before you procreate.

congratulations!
@ anon, surely having a baby together is stating your commitment?
I'm sure they can stand up and say 'I want to be with your forever' without being married? Does it really make much difference whether they have a bit of paper and a ring?
I hope they will be very happy, married or not!
