Robert Pattinson's set to get a new best friend, as Twilight directors start the casting hunt for the role of Garrett in Breaking Dawn.

But rumour has it movie bosses have already got their beady eye on someone to play R-Patz’ BFF in the film.

It’s thought Pushing Daisies star Lee Pace could be in line to play the role of ‘down to earth’ vampire nomad Garrett.

'Lee is the top person in the running to play Garrett in Breaking Dawn,' a secret told E! News.

If cast, Lee – who’s most recently starred in Colin Firth’s hit A Single Man, and romantic comedy, When in Rome – is expected to join the rest of the cast to start filming the fourth film this autumn.

no way! that lee pace guy looks too much of a flashy movie star to look like garret! garret is supposed to look rugged and like he's slept on the floor the night before! that is the worst choice they could hav come up with!

Now wait just a moment ppl, my you all seem to have an extremely limited memory capacity....or is it just the fact that we have chosen to forget all of the nasty negative comments that were placed online when Rob was a top contender for the leading role? Just look around you now...the whole world is in love with him. just because the initial image you see before your eyes is not the typical "cookie cutter" pretty boy face or whatever you were expecting in your minds, doesn't mean that this particular actor can't blow your minds on screen and totally become Garrett. All i'm saying is like with everything in life, keep an open mind and give something a chance before jumping to a snap decision. Make informed choices and then decide.

WOW you guys are being dumb... this man is BEAUTIFUL and scrawny... add some makeup he can be made to look rugged DUHH and on top of that have a hint of handsome, you have to watch this man act, you will fall in love! I definately think he should play the role of Garrett in Breaking Dawn!!! thank you veru much.

You are all missing the point, he is an excellent actor, I mean pushing daisies is my favourite tv series and might I add Taylor Lautner wasn't as 'beefy' as he is now for the movies and the twilight saga obviously have incredible hair and make up artists, so all i am is saying is give him a chance :) if you dont like it.... tough titties :P

He would be perfect. they have make-up to make people look rugged, Robert Pattison in that suite looks anything but sparkly and I'm a fan of his. Lee Pace is a great actor.

He would be great ! He's a great actor and he deserves good parts in good films like breaking dawn. I think he would make a good job !
