Angelina Jolie’s trainer has opened up about her secret Salt diet, revealing how she got in special agent shape for her latest action role.
Angelina’s been wowing crowds around the world, as she hits the red carpet on the Salt publicity trail. And boy does she look good!
And the secret of her gorgeous figure? Carbs.
‘She ate about five small meals a day and stuck to a diet of 70% carbs and 30% protein’ Angelina’s trainer Simon Crane revealed to American magazine, People.
Junk food was banned while the star was getting into tip top shape, and alcohol was a weekend-only treat.
Ange worked on building muscle for her role as CIA agent Evelyn Salt, and avoided cardio exercise, to help ‘put muscle on without losing weight.’
The star – who has in the past admitted she would like to play a female Bond – slogged through trainings sessions five days a week to get in shape and build stamina for the action role.
Her fitness programme is said to have included a mixture of fight and strength training to help her prepare for tricky stunts on set.
And she's looking better than ever after the gruelling regime.
‘She knew that she was going to suffer!’ said the trainer who whipped her into shape.
But it seems Ange enjoyed all the hard work. ‘She loves doing action,’ he added.
