Katie Price 'quitting' music after single fails to impress

It seems fans just didn’t love Katie Price’s single, Free to Love Again, after it only made a sorry sixty in the charts. Now the star’s reportedly quitting music altogether, after decided music ‘isn’t for her’.

The star’s pop career didn’t get off to a great start, after a less-than-lovely performance on GMTV, and then things took another turn for the worse when her single bombed in the charts.
Now Katie’s pulled out of a planned G.A.Y performance this weekend, after apparently deciding to 'retire' from music.
‘It's with great regret and disappointment that I will not perform at this Saturday's G-A-Y,’ the star announced in a statement to fans.
'Following recent events, it has been decided that this performance should be pulled from my schedule.'
Adding she’s ‘always wanted’ to perform at the event, she said: ‘after much consideration the last thing I want to do is put on a show which I am not completely happy with.’
And now it seems any plans for a future music career have been put on hold, as the star has decides to concentrate on other projects.
'Katie wants to concentrate on what she does best 100 per cent,' said a source.
‘She knows what she's good at whether its writing books, modelling or appearing on her own reality show but the pop career isn't for her.'

Jordan wants to concentrate on what she's good at? She's a hideous parody of womanhood and should never model again. She never wrote any books, that's what ghost writers are for. Her reality show is an outrageous testament to shameless self-publicity based on notoriety. The one thing she is extremely good at is making money. I really wish she would go away and spend her money instead of exploiting everyone around her. And stop the plastic surgery you silly person!

KATIE SHOULD NOT GIVE UP. TO GET INTO THE TOP 100 FOR A START IS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT. ANOTHER SONG AND LESS CRITICISM AND SHE'LL GO FAR. MAYBE SHE SHOULD MAKE A SECRET RECORD UNDER A NEW NAME.

I don't particularly like Katie Price but I do admire her honesty - she actually said herself she can't sing very well, with her money she can afford to give something a try if she likes. I think she is an over-madeup chav personally, but she is an honest one unlike her ex Peter Andre who is a slimy underhanded jerk who does his level best to keep anything that could harm his singing career (ROFL) out of the media. All that nicey nicey stuff is just so fake, there is plenty of evidence out there on the internet that it is all an act. The song (which was pretty bad but no worse than a lot of other chart stuff) failed because most radio stations wouldn't play it - bleedin' musical politics makes me sick!

It only proves one thing. If you are a product that the public has brought into and have made millions from it. That product will exploit every avenue in making more money as we buy into it. Luckily on this occasion the public have seen the bullshit and turned away. There are many talented muscians who will never have a chance to perform on live Television. As a product you just click your fingers and you can be anyone you wish. Book writer, perfume seller, clothes designer, etc etc. At leased Simon Cowell and his cronies gives the ordinary and talented people a charnce at stardom. Maybe our product should help her fellow man or woman who can sing, paint, design etc.

Ahhh - poor Katie - I thought she said on GMTV that she was going to mime the song like the rest of them do. Have to give brainless Katie her dues for admitting that she cant sing but that she is good at the mime with some of her left over hair extensions handing over her shoulders. Now I am not saying that she is all false - as if she would be. So whats the future. Katie I think you should see if there is any plastic re-cycling centre would take you in and maybe re-model you as the old 45 or LPs in that way you may get to be played on air at a night club

when katie was in the jungle she was lovely looking but has ruined herself by too much cosmetic surgery.she is no singer,now that she has made her money she needs to start to become a proper mother to her children and ditch the nanny get peter out of her head he,s far too good for her.

I don't think she is the kindest person in the world, but I think you are all being a bit too harsh? She does try and work, other like some people. She also is willing to admit she's not a good singer, more than some would admit. Give her a break. Tamara.

Oh there is a god!!!!! This woman is disgusting and will do anything to get into the public eye. She has not achieved anything alone. Ger children are lovely but you do wonder what they will turn out like seeing their mother and her men arguing in public

Never heard the song and not a fan but one thing is she is great at marketing herself. That's why she is where she is today. She has always been pretty (way before the surgery) and apparently British women are the least attractive women in the world. The insecurity shows because of the surgery. But so many women have had some sort of plastic surgery so that makes them no different. But she markets herself well and that's why she has made a career from it. She has turned herself into a brand.

I really don't understand why people like this are given air or column space. There are so many people out there who do wonderful things that none of us know about. I really hope one day that instead of us idolising these silly people we actually have more people with genuine talent, intellect and poise in the media spotlight for us all too justifiably look up to.
