Coleen Rooney's baby weight diet revealed

Coleen Rooney baby weight diet

Just five months after giving birth to baby Kai, Coleen Rooney has already pinged back to an enviable size 8 physique, and now we know the secret to her post-pregnancy weight loss.

The 24-year-old WAG has slimmed down thanks to a regime of regular exercise and a healthy diet, and works out with a personal trainer, Elise Lindsay.

Reportedly, Coleen has ditched carbohydrates and has got fit with a daily dose of either running, swimming, weights or floor exercise.

Speaking to Closer magazine, a friend of the star revealed: 'She's pretty much been living on salads with chicken or fish as well as loads of veg. She's been having smaller portions too. The weight's just fallen off.

'Coleen makes sure she does at least 30 minutes a day of cardio, either a run, swim or fast walk.'

The new mum had previously revealed she was 'not planning on rushing into losing weight after the baby.' But she later admitted: 'Because I am short, I sometimes look bigger than I am - especially in pictures.'

Coleen's trainer, Elise Lindsay, named the secret of Mrs Rooney's success as using a vibrating Flexi Bar for short periods of time: 'I've put together a baby nap express workout - a minimal time workout that is possible for mums to feel good and make a difference,' she said.

Size 8 my arse! She does look well though.

Yet another 'celeb' who says they won't be in any rush to lose the baby weight rushes to get back their pre-pregnancy figure.
Shame, I actually thought she was a down to earth, regular girl who didn't care about the 'showbiz' world. It's gone to her head. She shouldn't have been in any rush to lose the weight. I just hope it hasn't come at a price where she chose not to breastfeed her baby in order to lose the weight quickly.

Size 8???
Comment by anon on July 14 12:52

i think its great that she takes pride in her appearance and is making and effort to lose her baby fat! go colleen!!! x
Comment by Wendy on July 14 13:18

Why oh why do people have to be so nasty leave the girl alone
Comment by Nannyof9 on July 14 13:45

Nobody is being nasty... She has a gorgeous figure, she just clearly isn't a size 8 and claiming that she is isn't very helpful!
Comment by Steph on July 14 14:03

Coleen looks great and healthy. and happy.

I don't know what Ciana's comment means at the expense of not breastfeeding... it's the other way round you silly girl... if one's breast feeds you shed weight quicker.

love Coleen and she is a sensible girl.....please print HER REGIME AND DIET, so we can all have a go post pregnant or not!

She should be applauded for being a good role model by loosing the weight slowly and healthily through healthy eating and exercise.
Comment by susanna on July 14 15:10

She done well losing the dreaded baby weight in 5 months, and is looking great too.
She didn't fall into the same trap as some so called celeb mums who put pressure on themselves to fit back into their skinnies 4 weeks after giving birth with society expecting all new mums to be skinny minnys immediately.
Comment by ashling on July 14 15:27

She looks beautiful but she is no size 8, more a healthy 10-12. Nothing wrong with that!
Comment by Liverpool Lady on July 14 19:24

I was in a petrol station queue in Liverpool behind her last year - she is petite in real life and a lot smaller than she photos - they do say the camera adds pounds and unfortunately for her it does... she was also very nice and smiled to everyone who acknowledged her.

Is there some new, unspoken rule where you have to stay overweight and frumpy for at least a year after having a baby? And if you don't you're accused of being vein and shallow? Managing to shift the excess weight quickly doesn't mean anything other than she's a young woman, conscious of her figure, who is in the fortunate position of being able to focus on her weight loss and who can afford a personal trainer. If I had her money and all those gorgeous designer clothes were within my reach I'd shift the fat as soon as possible too. Give her a break and put the claws away!
Comment by Colette on July 14 19:41

just because she is a celbrity, she will get s*** either way, all my sisters, who arent celebrities, lost their baby weight just as fast. it's ok! we all want to feel good don't we? staying frumpy doesnt mean one isnt down to earth. leave her alone.
Comment by mim on July 14 21:29

I think she looks great, but she has the time to do exercise while Kai naps, the majority of new mums will be napping too, due to exhaustion and the 101 other things to get done while they can! I found breast feeding really helped my baby weight fall off, now I've stopped its all coming back :(
Comment by vicky on July 14 21:34

give the girl a break - either celebs are 'letting them self go', got cellulite, or they are too skinny, setting a bad example or not prioritising their baby.
And for all those who say 'size 8 my arse' - size 8 when you are 5 ft 9 looks decidedly different to size 8 when you are 5ft 2 - anyway size 6, size 8, size 10 , size 12, size 18, size 22 - surely who someone is as a person not a dress size is more important?
Comment by RVR on July 16 17:40

Who cares about size?
She's happy, healthy and looks fantastic!
I'm a size 10 but 5ft8, my friend is the same size but 5ft4, i look slimmer merely because I'm taller.
Size is not everything.
Comment by Kay on July 20 12:13

I love coleen and i always have. Shes the most down to earth person, shes curvy and likes her curves, unlike her fellow wag friends!! Im a size 8 and im not as small or as firm as her, im also 5ft 2 so are u going to try and tell me im not a size 8? Its silly. Id be happy to loose my baby weight within a week if i could, whats wrong with eating healthy and exercising? Well done coleen!!
Comment by Amy on July 20 16:47
