She's no stranger to body art - in fact, Angelina Jolie has more tattoos than most - but her latest inking is something of a puzzler...

While the actress wowed us in white at the Salt photocall in Cancun, Mexico, she also revealed her latest tattoo when she raised her arm to wave to the waiting photographers.

Positioned on her inner arm near her elbow, the new mystery motif sits alongside her roman numerals tattoo - but for the life of us, we can't figure out what it is.

While suggestions floating around the MC desk include: ‘a decorative swirl,' ‘one of her kids' drawings,' and ‘just a funny squiggle,' there's always the possibility that the design is one of Brad's creations...

Two years ago, Ange revealed that Brad had turned one of her doodlings into a tattoo on his back.

‘We went to Davos,' she explained to Entertainment Weekly. ‘One night we just didn't have anything to do, so I was drawing on his back.'

‘He just liked it! The picture everyone saw was kind of awkward, but it just lines up beautifully on his back, just enhances the part of the body I like.'

‘I mean its meaningful in that it's just us making angles and shapes out of each other's bodies, that kind of thing,' she added.

Perhaps now this is the result of Brad's attempt to return the favour?

That's been there for quite a while I think. I am sure I saw a pic of her last year and she had it then. It's nice whatever it is! I love Angie and her tattoos! Smoo, that is the letter H which she put there for her brother James Haven, but who knows, she might love a bit of Nandos!?! x

I think its some sort of date (XIII)13th (V)5 and dont know my roman numerals enough to work out the MCM etc etc

I think you guys in marie claire might have missed something. There also appears to be additional inking right above the roman numerals. It really is weird. I think it looks like one of her kids just scribbled on her arm.

Can you imagine what you would say if your daughter had just half the tattoos she has!!! Can see her when she is sixty - like a map of some distant shores.Unbecoming!

It's one ugly arm whether it's inked up or not. Should we really be able to see every vein she has? Yuck!

I think she has now become very Trashy. She was a beautifull Actress, but now she is marked up behond pretty. Don't get me wrong, I and my wife have Tats. The wife's tats are where the world can't see them. I think women that have visable tats, become TRASH!!!!!!
She no longer is the "Fantisy Woman" of my deams.
She WAS so beautifull... What a shame..
