Cheryl ditches Cole and goes back to Tweedy

Cheryl Cole at the X Factor London auditions

Cheryl Cole has officially ditched her married name and returned to Tweedy.

When the X Factor live auditions rolled into London on Monday, Simon Cowell introduced his co-judge to the audience with the exclamation: 'And this is Cheryl... Tweedy.'

It's the first time that the Girl Aloud has been referred to by her maiden name since splitting from her estranged hubbie earlier this year.

An attendee revealed to The Mirror: 'When Simon announced her as Cheryl Tweedy the whole place went up in unison. Cheryl was beaming... Everyone was whooping and cheering.'

As she ditches the various remnants of married life, reportedly the next stage will be lasering off that Mrs C tattoo on the back of her neck, which she debuted in November 2007, two years after marrying Ashley.

VERY happy she's going back to Tweedy!
'Cole' is too much of a tainted name, she doesn't need to be linked to that 'man' in anyway anymore.

I think Cheryl should stay w/Cole but would understand her wanting to revert back to her maiden name. Maybe she should just be Cheryl.

Why should she keep Cole? It's not her surname it's her husbands and she's divorced him so that's tough.
What she is doing is absolutely right, when you divorce a man you take back your maiden name and stop using his for attention/fame/money....unlike Sheryl Gascoigne and her disgusting daughter.

I agree - just Cheryl would be good. Tweedy just doenst have that ring about it, and Cole I can understand her not wanting to use any more

cole should be the name....she loves it and deep down she loves ashley.....yesterday in the day she was announced a cheryl cole then evening she was tweedy some one is trying to make a story and she aint finialised her divore yet....

@ fabienne Tina Turner kept her husband's name not because of monney but becaause it was her trade mark your Cheryl can do whatever he want to please her fan but once alone she knows wat's better for her life lol
